Diva Coffee Break Design Challenge #120

My sister-in-law died last week and I was out of town
causing me to miss the Mojo Monday challenge, so
I combined it with the Diva Coffee Break
challenge because I loved the sketch.
This week was a color challenge using colors
that I had never put together before. I hope you like my card
it is posted below this photo.

I used the SU "Le Jardin Botanique" set for the
color challenge and Bella Birds Designer Paper.

Blog Candy

I found this idea on AK Stamper's blog (she's a SBS Sistah 28) while blog hopping.

I think it is a fantastic way to share our art!The first 5 people to respond to this post

will get something made by me! My choice (with Miss Alli's help), of course! for you.

Could be a card I really am pleased with, an altered object or something else all together!

My choice!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2. What I create will be made with you in mind so you won't get something I already

made unless I think it suits you to a T.

3. It'll be done sometime this year (I will want to get it done in the next month or so).

4. You have no clue what it's going to be.

5. The catch? Oh, the catch is you must offer this blog candy on your blog!

Re-post this on your blog, offer something you make - your choice -

to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog (then come here and post).

Add my name to the #1 slot on your card-

I am your first participant. When you create your give away,

you will become the first participant on the new list

for the people who participate with you.

The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment here telling me they did

(I will go to your blog to check that you have this posted) win a handmade gift by me.

Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

SO ...................who will be the first 5 people????

One of the requirements to belong to the sisterhood is to tell about yourself, so here goes. I'm a beliver, a dreamer, an artist and a free spirit. I'm a 55 year grammy of five with one of the five being special needs and he is special indeed. I have two grown children who are married, my soul mate and I have been married for 35 years and our fur baby Miss Alli Cat calls the shots around here LOL! (If you have ever been owned by a cat, you know what I mean!)
I'm a professional artist who uses acrylics or watercolor to express my creative urges. I also love stamping and find a great deal of satisfaction in designing my card creations as well as following someone else's lead. I love stamping and scrapbooking!
Another joy is traveling and seeing the world. I will admit to wanderlust and possessing a spirit of adventure. Name the place and I'm ready to go. I've been to almost every state and on most every continent. I love the see the real country and not the tourist towns as much. I love to roam the countryside and meet the people and get to know them and their culture.
I love history, reading and you guessed it, I love reading a good accurate historic novel. Another love is animals, especially the big cats. I've actually petted a lioness and dream of getting to pet a tiger one day.
The love of my life is my sweet hubby who puts up with my creative clutter even though it drives him to distraction! He's a type A and I'm a type B, I guess it's true, opposites attract. Family is very important to me and I love our family gatherings when all my kids and grand kids are under our roof. When they come in for a visit or during the holidays we have 9 extra people living here and 2 extra grandpuppies. I love it! It can get a little hectic and crazy but it's wonderful to me.
The most important thing you need to know about me is that I'm a born-again, Bible believing Christian. I love Jesus and He loves me, regardless of my many faults. He loves you too and wants you to know Him better and to have a personal relationship with Him. If you want more information please contact me.

Easter Stampin' Event

The third Saturday of each month I host an all day
stampin' event at my house. This month was
an Easter theme, as you can see
by the things on my buffet.
These cards were made by using punches
and die cuts.

I like the funny bunny but the little lamb
below is probable my favorite.
The lamb could also be used
as a sweet baby card and would also
be cute in pink.

The magnetic refrigerator clip using the
A Good Egg stamp set holds a
photo of three of my five grand babies.

The clip board was fun to make and it will be
going to my daughter's house to
help her keep up with her busy schedule.

The following post features several of the non-card
items we made in my Easter workshop.
I hope you enjoy looking at
our Easter creations.

Non-Card Items

Here are a few more of the non-card items
that we made in my class today.
The little clay pots were filled with
a plastic egg filled with a peep chick.
The other candy in the pots were small
chocolate eggs. Easter pencils were
the sticks for the bunny faces.
Chocolate bunnies wrapped and stamped.

More Easter eggs turned into bunnies
filled with jelly beans. The ears are from the
Pick A Petal set.

Carrots filled with jelly beans.

A goodie box filled with chocolate.

Sorry for all of you who couldn't come,
We had lots of fun and a
bunny cake!

My mom made a French Vanilla
Coconut Bunny Cake, yum!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Here are my St. Paddy's Day cards and dimensional items that were made in my Bit O' the Green stamping event. I loved using all the punches to make the leprechauns and gold coins. These little guys were the hit of the workshop. Below is the card I made for my "Pop-Up Card Challenge"

1 3/8" & 1" Circle punches, Scallop Circle, Small Tag punch and the Word Window punch are used to create the Leprechauns.

I found theses gold Chinese take-out boxes at the Dollar Tree (two in a package) and knew they would be perfect to hold St. Paddy's Day treats of Peppermint Paddies.

This little guy is my own design, he needed a rounded hat to fit on the card. He is made using the 1 3/4" Circle punch and his nose is a 1" circle. The brim of his hat is two word window punches.
I cut out a large circle and then cut off the top to make the pot. The legs are 1" circles, the rim is two word windows and the gold is made using the 3/4" circle punch and More Mustard card stock from Stampin' Up. After I punched the gold, I antiqued the edges using Really Rust in my Stampin' Pastels.

Another Dollar Tree find was the breath mints, they came eight in a package for a dollar and make a cute little teacher gift.

Sing A Song of Spring
The little birds below were made using discontinued Stampin' Up Designer Papers and little wooden birds that I found at Michael's Craft Store. Twelve came in a package and I think I paid around $2.99 or $3.99 for the package.
