Winds of Grace

Hi Y'all,
I can't believe it been almost a year since my last post! Where has the time gone? I went back to school last fall and must have kept my head in the books, but it did pay off. I have a 4.0 average. YEA!! I have about 2 more weeks off before the summer semester begins. This past week I have been stamping up a storm. Below are some of the masculine and Father's Day cards I've been working on this week.
The 3 sets posted today are: Winds of Grace, On the Fly, and Thinking of Father. All theses stamps are retired Stampin' Up sets. I used both new and retired inks and papers along with odds and ends from my stampin' stash. I found an unopened package of Kraft cards and envelopes and used them for all the sets. I used Soft Suede ink and watercolor pencils along with Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock. When other colors are used, I will list the colors under the card. Enjoy and remember...
Stamp each day with God's love,
Frankie

The paper is Cool Caribbean

On the Fly

This is one of my favorite sets. I have fond memories of going fly fishing with my father. On his days off, he would go up into the mountains and fish. Sometimes he would let me tag along, he knew that he would bring home less fish on those days because I would get bored with fishing and start playing and splashing in the water. My dad was a very kind, loving and patient father, I miss him especially at this time of the year.
I used Kraft cards and envelopes for this set. Soft Suede ink is used on all the cards and the stamp set is On the Fly by Stampin' Up.

Thinking of Father

This is a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up called Thinking of Father. This set is also stamped on Kraft cards and envolopes. I used the Soft Suede ink, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip card stock, and a yellow watercolor pencil.

The card above has Soft Suede ribbon and some scrap printed paper from my stash.

More scrap patterned paper and ribbon. I distressed the card with Soft Suede ink.

Scrap paper and twine.

This card is one of my favorites. I loved the soft color of the Baja Breeze paper added to this card. The ribbon is the old Stampin' Up Moss Gingham.

Old Olive paper was added to this card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the retired set again.
